Nashville, TN (9/11/03)….The 2003 CCMA AWARD nominees were announced today by Gene Higgins, President and CEO of the Christian Country Music Association. The winners will be announced during the CCMA Awards Show held on the stage of the historic Ryman Auditorium, November 6th beginning at 7 PM CST.

Lisa Ryan, of The 700 Club, and Buddy Jewell, Columbia recording artist, will host. Performers and presenters slated to appear are Mary Raybon, Daron Norwood, Dennis Agajanian, Cross Country, LaVerne Tripp, Dottie Rambo, and the Fox Brothers.

Marking the 9th year for these member-voted awards, the CCMA has added two new categories, “Music Evangelist Award,” and “Youth in Music Award.”

The 2003 CCMA Award nominees include:

The CCMA Awards is the keynote event of the CCMA Convention, slated for Nov. 2 –6 in Nashville, TN. The Convention will be held at the Millennium Maxwell House and will feature four days of Christian Country Music.
